6 reasons why the Moto G71 5G is not the best 5G phone under 20 thousand

Motorola launched the new Moto G71 5G smartphone in India yesterday. The mid-range phone was introduced in Europe a few months ago and features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 695 SoC, 6GB of RAM, a 50MP camera and a 5000mAh battery priced at Rs. 18,999 in India. So, should you buy this new 5G phone for this price or opt for another one as there are many choices available in the segment? Let’s find out here!

Reasons why the Moto G71 5G is not the best 5G phone under 20 thousand

We analyzed the features and specifications of the Moto G71 5G and compared it to other phones in the segment, and here are a few points that prove that it may not be the best 5G phone under this budget.

Old design

Motorola offers this phone in the mid-range category, but the phone’s design language is in some ways similar to its other G-Series budget phones. That same shiny plastic body, a fingerprint sensor placed on the back inside the Moto logo, all looks outdated by 2022. The front is also the same design with a drilled hole with a thick chin at the bottom.

60 Hz screen

Surprisingly, when others offer screens with a refresh rate of 90 Hz or even 120 Hz in this segment, Motorola has decided to go for a typical 60 Hz screen. Although it is a large 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with FHD + resolution. But the refresh rate should also be at least 90Hz given the value of the phone. Even some of Moto’s mid-range phones from last year have 90 Hz screens.

No card slots

This time Motorola decided to disconnect the microSD card slot from the phone. It used to offer a hybrid slot that offers dual SIM and microSD functionality, but this time you can’t expand storage on the Moto g71.

Mono speaker

The phone comes with a single speaker that moves from the bottom which is a real disappointment for a midrange phone. Most mid-range phones these days come with stereo speakers.

No 4K recording

The Moto G71 5G can only record videos up to 1080p resolution. While most other phones in the category offer 4K video recording. Even Moto own phones in the same price segment offer 4k recording.

Bluetooth 5.0

Many phones these days come with the latest Bluetooth 5.1 and 5.2, but Moto still offered an older version which is Bluetooth 5.0. Even last year’s Moto G series phone has Bluetooth 5.1.

Reasons to buy

Apart from all these reasons, the Moto G71 5G also has some good features. As mentioned, this is the first phone in India with a Snapdragon 695 chipset. This is a 6nm based chipset that has Kryo 660 cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz. This chipset supports 13 5g of belt as well as Moto g71 5g.

In addition to these features, it has 6GB of RAM with a RAM booster up to 2GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 memory. Also, just like other Moto phones, it has a standard Android UI and a large battery with support for fast charging.
