Boba Fett he may be going through hard times as the new tattooed master of crime Bob Fett’s book, but there is one thing the former bounty hunter has always been good at: being a bounty hunter. That would be the focus Star Wars: 1313, a game that was supposed to put players in Fett’s boots as he traveled through the mega-metropolis of the planet Coruscant. Now new recordings of the gameplay have appeared and it turned out that we were right to complain 1313Cancellation all these years ago.
The only recording of the game was made in 2012, when Lucasfilm released the trailer below. As you can see, 1313 was pretty a Star Wars version of Uncharted action-adventure games, which most people agreed sounded pretty great:
Early in the LucasArts game, the protagonist shown above would kill Bob Fett, who will be controlled by the players from then on. This new clip from ton Trezor (over it Polygon), and YouTube channel dedicated to the discovery and renewal of material similar to the annulled original third entry in Star Wars: Battlefront a series of shooters, depicting Fett in action, which we have never seen before only in photographs and conceptual arts. The graphics and animation aren’t nearly as sleek as the trailer above – to be expected, given that it’s a pre-release, non-final material from a game that never was – but in my opinion, it still does Star Wars: 1313 looks even better:
Watching Bobo Fett pass through different parts of Coruscant’s underworld, through bars at 1313 level and above buildings, really hints at the potential of the game. There has been very little research on the planets other than the Jedi Temple and the Senate chambers as a whole Star Wars (beyond Clone Wars‘last season looking at the citizens of Coruscant left behind by the war), so despite having a decade, 1313 it still feels like something new and fresh could have debuted. Of course, the game this video made me imagine it was pretty epic, so maybe it should come as no surprise that the game is supposed to be there are already big problems before Disney acquired it Star Wars franchise, and then completely shut down LucasArts in 2013.
Because Disney gave Star Wars video game license in EA next year and the company did not mention it 1313 one since then, it is probably safe to say that the game will remain canceled. What a pity, I think; I would really love to experience this new part of the galaxy. Although to be honest, I love to experience any new part galaxies.
