Colin Trevorrow spoke with Empire about his plans for a currently unnamed film about Atlantis that he hopes to direct after its release Jurassic World: Dominion.

For a generation that can now enter a world that is no different from their own world – where their elders basically gifted them a dying civilization – I think this is the right time for that story.

It’s the only thing that equals dinosaurs to me. I guess I’m inclined to go back in time. But, you know, it was the first time we had technology. And that’s at a time when we had other types of creatures that no longer exist. There are so many things about this that are fascinating to me. Well yeah, I’m a big nerd for that.
