The features of Mahila Utkarsh Yojana are as follows –
The Gujarat government is all set to launch a scheme providing interest free loans to groups of women in the state.
Under the scheme, a loan of 1 lakh will be given to women self-help groups (SHGs), which will have 10 members.
Under MMUY, 50,000 JLEGs will be created in urban areas.
Under MMUY, 50,000 such clusters will also be formed in rural areas.

The loans will be made available to the clusters through nationalized banks, co-operative banks and financial institutions approved by RBI.
Eligibility Criteria of Chief Minister Mahila Utkarsh Yojana
To take advantage of Gujarat Chief Minister Utkarsh Yojana (Mukhyamantri Mahila Yojana), you must have the following eligibility.
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Gujarat.
- The applicant in this scheme should be a woman.
- Applicant must be part of self help group of Gujarat.
- Self help group should have 10 members.
The government is going to provide loan to these groups and the interest will be paid by the government to the bank.
