Brandon Brown, NASCAR driver who inadvertently helped create viral right-wing singing. “Let’s go, Brandon”(Which many people believe means“ Fuck Joe Biden ”), decided to partner with memecoin based on the slogan.

LGBcoin.io, a recently launched crypto-token based on a very biased phrase, announced on Thursday that it will serve as the primary sponsor of the entire season for Brown and his team, Brandonbilt Motorsports, during NASCAR 2022. In professional races, such sponsorships allow companies to use drivers like giant, seasonal billboards – they decorate their cars, and often the driver himself, with accompanying corporate logos and advertising supplies.

In other words, Brown will obviously serve as a full-time advertisement – both for this stupid new cryptocurrency and, allegedly, coded disrespect for the president. In a video posted on Twitter on Thursday, Brown announced the collaboration, revealing that next year it will drive a Chevrolet Camaro 69 – painted in red, white and blue – with the name memecoin printed on it.

That is how the three devilish forces (cryptocurrency, NASCAR and party politics) merged, and this whole boring saga continues.

In case you’re out of the circle, the LGB phenomenon began back in October — when Brown was 28 won the race at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama. For whatever reason, the crowd erupted that day shouting “Fuck Joe Biden!” after his victory. On-site reporter Kelly Stavast heard the audience chant it and, seemingly confused, told the driver and her viewers to chant “Let’s go Brandon!” The phrase later became popular at conservative sporting events – and a kind of strange panic ensued.

Now, two months later, the slogan has inspired interpreters in Associated Press and NPR, analysis and deep thinking from the Atlantic, explosion from related goods, the exclamation of the Southwest Airlines pilot (who compared to ISIS and almost lost his job), and, yes, new memecoin to invest fans of the saying. Proving that he is a true American, Brown decided to cash in on his unintentional proclamation of the latest idiotic cultural hotspot in our country – a development that is also not surprising.

Yes, it was all a real ride. If you hadn’t watched this whole little melodrama, you would really be forgiven because, in the end … who cares? Shouting “fuck the president” was tradition in this country probably since its inception a song devoted telling Trump to fuck off), so it’s unclear why anyone would expect that to change now. More than anything, this development is just embarrassing, because it means that I will have to keep reading about “LGB” and what all resources in the foreseeable future – or at least until the NASCAR season is over.
