From House X a hit in 2019, Marvel mutants had a really good series of comics, long and short. Jonathan Hickman could be out after a recent Hell miniseries, but his Krakow status quo is still very in and a new pair of comics will evolve from it in some pretty cool ways.
First, knights of X, is one of many interesting and new books which are part of “The Fate of X“line. Serves as a continuation of magic Excalibur series, screenwriter Tina Howard and Method X artist Bob Quinn will take Captain Britain (Betsy Braddock) and a team of mutants on a journey through the magical realm of the Otherworld. Cut off from Krakoa, Betsy and her knights – including Gambit, Rictor, Shatterstar, Rachel Summers, Gloriana, Bei the Blood Moon and two currently unknown characters – will have to save the kingdom and save the mutants who are also trapped there. Howard he described the comic as a “search for precious treasure” that will see ten mutants doing what they do best: “fighting for (n the Other) world that hates and fears them.”
This next book is House X, but with a reversal: what if it happened in the 90s? In a five-part miniseries by Steve Fox and Salve Espin X-Men ’92: House XCII, the couple explores the possibility of the incarnation of 90s mutants who built Kraków as a utopia in their time. However, according to Marvel, this will not be the same difficult sci-fi story House it eventually became when everything was said and done.
Both Foxe and Espin expressed excitement at receiving a remix of the story, with the former teasing some. “wild deviations ”from the source material in the warehouse. With news of the 90s series coming back next year, it will be interesting to see what this miniseries will do to capture the hearts of these nostalgic fans while also paving its own path.
Both Knights of X and X-Men ’92: House XCII will be released on April 13 and 6.
