Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio and Surface Pro 8 stole the spotlight Surface Go 3 when the company renewed its portfolio of personal computers last year, but now there is another reason to look at a miniature convertible tablet.
Leaker Aggiornamenti Lumia posted pictures on Twitter showing the 10.5-inch Surface Go 3 in a new matte black color, similar to the color option available on the Surface Laptop 4.
These seem to be marketing images, suggesting that a matte black version could arrive soon as well Amazon Germany the list already has a device available for pre-registration with a release date of January 11th. I contacted Microsoft to confirm the addition of the matte black option and I will update this article when I respond.
Based on these leaks, the Surface Go 3 will ship with an Intel Core i3 processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and LTE. The inclusion of LTE connectivity is interesting because Surface Go 3 did not deliver that feature when it arrived last October, although Microsoft has since added an LTE version to its website, sold out The $ 729 configuration is only available with the Core i3. We wouldn’t be surprised if Microsoft soon adds “Graphite”, a secondary color available on Surface Pro 8, to its Surface Go 3 online configuration tool.
It’s nice to see Microsoft add more color options to its budget devices, especially Go 3, a product designed for travel, not just for use in your home office. It may not stand out as much as some of the striking nuances available on the Surface Laptop 4 but the hidden matte black option, to me, looks better than standard Platinum.
But putting a new coat of paint on the Surface Go 3 won’t solve some of the problems we had with the board, including poor battery life and mediocre performance. In ours mixed review Surface Go 3, we called the tablet a “decent secondary computer for those who have money for splurge ”, but not something you should use primary device.
You can turn to Surface Laptop Studio or Surface Pro 8 for this, or you can wait a few months as Microsoft will obviously launch a “multiple product refresh” during 2022. Reported by The Verge. We don’t know which devices will be updated, but it’s safe to assume that the Surface Laptop 5 will come with the latest components, including new processors that Intel and AMD launched on CES 2022.
