Netflix has power! After years of developing hell at Sony, a new live store Lords of the universe movie switched to streamer with plans to shoot this summer. Kyle Allen, who can currently be seen in Steven Spielberg West Side Story, will play He-Man / Prince Adam, work with directors ton Nee Brothers (The The lost city) based on a screenplay by Nees and David Callaham (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings).
“We have always been inspired the fantastic world of Eternia”, Producers Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch said in a statement. “This film has been made for 14 years for us and our partners and we are so excited to be able to tell a whole new story for Lords of the universe with brothers Nee and Dave Callaham for Mattel and Netflix and share that with the global audience. ”
To make this movie getting to Netflix makes so much sense. Stream has really embraced the world Lords of the universe last year, launching two new animated series, Lords of the Universe: Revelation and He-Man and the lords of the universe. Therefore, the company must see that there are fans ready and waiting to see these characters in live action.

and yes, this is a project which he had before Noah Centineo attached, with projected release dates go back to 2019. Now, finally, it seems Netflix will lead him to the goal.
