National Parks NFTs give membership to the Social Club of Outdoor Enthusiasts
Mixart.io today announced the development of NFT for outdoor enthusiasts who are passionate about U.S. national parks. The 4,625 NFT collection offers owners access to workshops and outdoor equipment for hiking, climbing, photography or families who simply love their annual trips to the park.
Mick Gow, founder of the NFTs National Park, believes NFTs are ready to mature beyond just works of art. “Our NFTs are the key to real utility – a club for the most passionate fans out there,” says Gow. Although each NFT is a stunning work of art from 63 national parks, their blockchain entry gives each member access to the club, unlike an image, which cannot be copied.
What the artwork comes into play is that each NFT has a set of unique features that hold the key to the type of gamification. Different features give you access to different membership benefits. Hundreds of these types of combinations through features mix and match members with benefits. “One example is that we can partner with a company that offers discounted hiking boots, but to be qualified, you need to have an NFT that has a hiking trail in artwork,” explains Mick Gow.
The project has been launched on social media including Twitter (NYSE :), Instagram, and early users gather on the Discord platform. The last day of minting on which people can buy NFTs is set for the end of January.
The project roadmap shares a vision that includes future NFT drops for tour guides to provide services to club members, mobile apps that bring augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experiences, and even Pokemon Go-style games that members can play find facilities located across the parks. The project also mentions interesting fundraising efforts to return donations to parks, and partnerships with carbon offset projects in the NFT area.
