While most of the world is currently suffering from the current wave of the omicron variant, the U.S. has been particularly hard hit, thanks in large part to such a large percentage of unvaccinated people.

The U.S. reported 1,459,005 new cases on Monday, an extremely high number thanks to a weekend backlog, but the seven-day average for cases is still historically high. The state is on average 771,516 new cases every day and there are currently 140,268 people in hospital with covid-19, which is 4,158 more than just the day before. The U.S. also reported 2,235 new deaths.

Get vaccinated. Get stronger. It’s a way to protect yourself from serious illness and death from a disease that has shaken the world for more than two years. And one day all this will be over. It must be.
